Encouraging Communities to Recycle
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) ‘Sustainability’ is the capacity to improve the quality of human life while living within earth’s natural ecosystems.
Ensuring that our future generations have a planet that’s cleaner and greener and sustain itself, Prakash Jayantilal Chauhan Foundation is working towards encouraging people to take small steps towards constructive usage of Plastic. To bring about a behavioral change, Prakash Jayantilal Chauhan Foundation has installed Reverse Bottle Vending Machines that educates and encourages people to lessen plastic use and take to recycling plastic waste. These machines are equipped with screens that play videos on environmental protection and conservation.
The foundation is working with various Government and Non-Government bodies to install these machines across the country. Some of the locations where these reverse bottle vending machines are installed are Mumbai, Nagpur, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kota, Indore, Bhopal among others.
Covid-19 support
By distributing beverages and medical kits, the Foundation supported communities and Covid Warriors across India.
Flood Relief
By supplying dry ration and clothes by Employees of Parle Agro Pvt Ltd. the foundation ensured the right help to those affected by the Kerala/Chennai floods.
Water Distribution Drive
Employees participated in the water distribution drive together with the Robinhood Army across Mumbai city where the volunteers handed over a bottle of Bailley (water brand from the house of Parle Agro) to traffic policemen, auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers and pedestrians.
Reverse Bottle Vending Machines
To push PJC Foundation’s role in supporting sustainability, the foundation worked with various Government and Non-Government bodies to install reverse bottle vending machines across Mumbai, Nagpur, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kota, Indore, Bhopal, and other cities across India.
