Hair Stylist
A hair stylist is a professionally trained individual who specializes in hair care treatments. They are also called hairdressers or beauticians. Hair stylists offer services such as hairstyling, hair colouring—highlights or global colour, hair straightening, hair perming, haircuts, hair trimming shampooing and other treatments for hair damage and repair. A stylist analyzes clients hair, recommends a style or treatment, and may also provide instructions and sell products that will let the customer get the same look at home.
Pre-requisites to Training
- Minimum qualification–Class VIII/ the ability to read/ write and communicate effectively on the job
Training Outcomes
- Hands-on experience on working with hair styling, hair dressing, hair care treatments, use of electronic devices, hair product and understanding use of hair styling equipments
- Ability to work with different hair types and perform shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying scalp massage and hair spa services
- Create different hairstyles for men/ women using different cutting methods like club cutting, freehand, scissor-over-comb techniques
- Offer suitable hair coloring service to customers : From temporary to semi-permanent colors, hair-strand highlights, lightening products and other coloring techniques. Apply basic perming techniques: Create a variety of looks using basic perming techniques
- Perform hair relaxing, smoothening , keratin, botox and other straightening services
- Manage salon reception duties: Welcome and respond to customer queries
- Maintain health and safety standards
In addition to above course, candidates will be trained on soft skills and be taken through an entrepreneurship program
